ESIC approves INR 1,128 Crore for construction of 7 hospitals

The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), during its standing committee meeting held on Tuesday, March 5, approved setting up seven ESI hospitals worth an estimated INR 1128.21 Crore in Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Odisha. The projects are poised to improve healthcare facilities in these regions.

The hospitals will come up at Harohalli, Narsapura, and Bommasandra in Karnataka, Merrut and Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, Pithampur in Madhya Pradesh, and Duburi in Odisha. These hospitals will add 800 beds to ESIC’s existing medical infrastructure. The construction of the projects is anticipated to start soon.

Additionally, ESIC decided to establish a Sub-Regional Office in Alwar, Rajasthan. These decisions are in line with the vision for Viksit Bharat, to augment the medical and cash benefits delivery infrastructure, the authority announced in the company statement.
