The Airport Authority of India (AAI) is developing a New Civil Enclave at Bagdogra Airport, Darjeeling, West Bengal.

Bagdogra Airport in Darjeeling, West Bengal, is about to undergo significant expansion as the Airports Authority of India (AAI) prepares to commence the project. As a result of this expansion, the airport’s current capacity of 0.75 MPPA (Million Passengers Per Annum), will be increased to 10 MPPA.
To facilitate this expansion, AAI has engaged CP Kukreja Architects (CPKA) as the Architectural & Engineering Consultant, responsible for creating the necessary drawings and plans. The entire design process is expected to be finalized over the next few months. After that, AAI will issue the tender for a civil works contractor.
The plan encompasses a range of facilities, including 11 Aircraft parking bays, Link Taxiways, commercial plots, hotels, Cargo facilities, Terminal building, and Aerobridges, among others. The project will be developed in a phased manner.
The land area allotted for the project is 104 acres, with a total construction area of 1,076,391 SqFt. The estimated construction cost of the project is 1,075 INR-Crore.
