Ghaziabad railway station on track for revamp

Northern Railway has started the redevelopment of the Ghaziabad Railway Station at an estimated cost of INR 337 Crore. The project is being developed under the Indian Railways Amrit Bharat Station (ABS) Scheme over an anticipated 1.5 Lakh SqM land parcel.

The scope of work involves the construction of a two-floor station building with a basement, staff quarters, and training hostel, a 72m wide concourse, an 8m wide foot overbridge (at the design stage), a roof covering the entire platform, and vertical transport facilities (lifts, escalators, staircases). It also includes rainwater harvesting, a sewage treatment plant, and water storage & underground tanks.

The development is scheduled to be completed by August 2025. The Indian Railways, under the ABS scheme, aims to transform stations into dynamic transit centers offering a safe, fast, efficient, and sustainable travel experience to users.
