Gujarat: ReNew to invest 31,500 INR-Crore in Solar Power Plants and manufacturing facilities

Renewable energy titan ReNew is set to invest an estimated 31,500 INR-Crore to set up solar power generation projects and manufacturing facilities in Gujarat. At the ongoing REInvest event in Gandhinagar, the company formalized this commitment through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government.

Under the MoU, ReNew will invest an estimated 17,500 INR-Crore into developing 3,000 MW of solar power and 630 MW of wind projects in Gujarat. This initiative aims to supply clean energy to the state. Additionally, the company will allocate an estimated 12,000 INR-Crore to establish manufacturing facilities. These facilities will include a combined capacity of 6,000 MW for ingots and wafers. Moreover, there will be 8,500 MW capacity for solar cells and 2,400 MW for solar modules.

ReNew will also invest an estimated 2,000 INR-Crore in a green finance project. This project is dedicated to the conservation and planting of mangroves. These substantial investments by ReNew would advance Gujarat’s renewable energy infrastructure as well as support environmental sustainability.
