The High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA), on Wednesday, January 24, approved eight industrial projects worth 32,000 INR-Crore, marking a significant milestone for Odisha’s industrial growth. These projects, spread across districts like Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Sambalpur, and Bhadrak, are set to create thousands of jobs and boost the state’s economy.
Among the approved projects is Kshoma Green Energy Technologies Ltd‘s green energy equipment manufacturing plant in Khurda district. The project is worth an estimated investment of 6,948 INR-Crore and the potential to create 2,898 jobs. Additionally, Dhunseri Ventures Ltd will establish a polycarbonate manufacturing unit in the Jagatsinghpur district with an investment of 6,250 INR-Crore, generating 1,900 jobs.

The HLCA also approved a shipbuilding, repair, and integrated offshore facilities project by United Petro Shipping Pte Ltd in the Jagatsinghpur district. The project will be developed at an investment of 5,637 INR-Crore and will have a potential to create 1,690 jobs. Furthermore, three projects by UPL Ltd, DCM Shriram Ltd, and FS Green Energies Pvt Ltd will be set up in Ganjam district for phosphorus derivatives, green H2-based fuel, and solar cells and panels, respectively.
Hindalco Industries Ltd will invest 2,000 INR-Crore in Sambalpur district to manufacture electro-deposited copper foil for lithium EV batteries. This project is expected to create 1,500 jobs. Ratnamani Metals and Tubes Ltd will also establish a stainless steel round bar manufacturing unit in Bhadrak district with an investment of 1,200 INR-Crore, generating employment for 600 people.
These projects approved by HLCA are expected to significantly enhance Odisha’s industrial landscape. The approval comes ahead of the Utkarsh Odisha: Make-in-Odisha Conclave 2025. These further underscore the state’s commitment to attracting investments and fostering industrial growth.
