HLCA nod to five projects worth 44,793 INR-Crore in Odisha

On Monday, January 6, the High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA)approved massive investment proposals worth an estimated 44,793.03 INR-Crore in Odisha. These projects span five sectors: refinery and petrochemicals, green energy equipment, biotechnology, steel, and chemicals. 

Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Ltd committed an estimated 8,743 INR-Crore to establish a 4 MMT crude oil storage facility in Jajpur. Meanwhile, Inox Solar proposed a around 4,000 INR-Crore investment in Dhenkanal to develop a solar module and photovoltaic cell manufacturing unit, each with a 4.8 GW capacity.

Furthermore, ACME Cleantech Solutions Pvt Ltd announced plans to invest an estimated 4,050.03 INR-Crore in Cuttack for a cutting-edge sustainable protein plant. This facility will focus on producing mushroom root fermentative protein. Additionally, Tata Steel will invest around 26,175 INR-Crore to expand its Kalinganagar operations in Jajpur. The expansion will include a 2.2 MTPA cold-rolled and coated steel products facility and a 2 MTPA plate mill.

Himadri Green Technologies Innovation proposed to invest around 1,825 INR-Crore in Cuttack to set up a facility for mineral oil and tyre recycling products. By facilitating large-scale investments, the HLCA is driving economic growth, fostering sustainability, and solidifying Odisha’s position in the manufacturing sector.
