Hyundai to invest INR 5,000 crore for a project in Pune, LG to invest INR 900 crore for expansion of existing unit

Uday Samant, the Maharashtra Minister of Industries, has disclosed that two foreign corporations are gearing up for substantial investments in Pune after he returned from a foreign tour to South Korea.

As per the Minister’s announcement, Hyundai intends to invest INR 5,000 Crore into a project located in Pune. This investment will be executed in two phases, resulting in the generation of employment opportunities for approximately 4,500 individuals. The supplier companies of Hyundai are also gearing up to deploy around INR 4,000 Crore in forthcoming periods. Hyundai will invest in this project until 2028

In addition, the Minister conveyed that LG, a renowned company, already possessing a unit in Ranjangaon district, has laid out expansion plans entailing an expenditure of about INR 900 Crore. Moreover, Lotte Wellfood, another South Korean company with an established unit in Pune, is preparing to allocate approximately INR 475 Crore to initiate the production of Havmor brand products.
