IHG Hotels & Resorts signs dual hotel deal in Punjab

IHG Hotels and Resorts has signed a management agreement with NK Sharma Hospitality Private Limited for the development of two new hotels in Chandigarh, Punjab. These hotels will be located in the Chandigarh tri-city area, namely Crowne Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur and Holiday Inn and Suites Chandigarh Zirakpur.

Once delivered, these hotels will offer 350 keys to the guests along with 100,000 SqFt of meeting space to capture MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions). It will also have extensive banqueting facilities to cater to high demands for conferences, weddings, and meetings.

Crowne Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur will feature 150 premium rooms along with four F&B outlets, including all-day dining, lobby lounge, speciality restaurant, and bar; meeting spaces across nine venues, including a ballroom (for special events); club lounge; pool; fitness centre; retail; and spa.

Whereas, Holiday Inn and Suites Chandigarh Zirakpur will feature 200 premium rooms, along with three F&B outlets including all-day dining, lobby lounge, and bar; pool; fitness centre; and three meeting rooms including a ballroom.

The projects are scheduled to open in 2027.
