About the Project:
Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad (IIT Dharwad) is an autonomous premier engineering and technology university in Dharwad, India.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at Dharwad started functioning from July 2016 in a temporary campus at the Water and Land Management Institute (WALMI) in Belur village on the outskirts of Dharwad city.
Project Location:
IIT Dharwad is located at the outskirts of the twin cities of Hubballi-Dharwad in the north of Karnataka. The proposed site is near to NH-4 and Kyarkop railway station. IIT Dharwad has already developed a master plan to construct a green and smart campus with world-class and state of art infrastructure.
Technical Specifications:
The Project is having a total plot area of 470 acres and will offer approximately 15 million sqft of built-up area. The construction shall take place in a phased manner i.e. Phase IA, IB, Phase-2 & Phase 3. The maximum floor of buildings is to be up to G+11.
On February 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the permanent campus of Indian Institute of Technology, Dharwad.
