IndiGrid has received the Letter of Interest (LOI) from REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd for two inter-state transmission projects worth an estimated investment of INR 1000 Crore. The infrastructure investment company secured these projects through Tariff-based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) for 35 years on a BOOT (Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer) basis.
The first project will be developed to evacuate power from the Dhule 2GW renewable energy zone with an estimated annual transfer charge of INR 530 Million post-completion. It comprises establishing a 400/220kV pooling station having a capacity of 4×500 MVA combined with a 400 kV D/C line extending roughly 70km.
