The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways announced the establishment of an advanced multi-modal logistic park (MMLP) in Sagor village, Dhar district, near Pithampur, on AB Road.
The park will cover an expansive area of 255 Acres and will be constructed at a cost of INR 900 Crore. It falls under the PM Gati Shakti Yojna, which aims to facilitate the efficient transportation of goods across the land, water, and air routes with minimal time and damage.
The park will have dimensions of 2 km in length and 1 km in width. GR Infra Limited will oversee the development of the park in three phases. Additionally, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited will commission a 6 km railway line to provide rail connectivity to the park. The project will be carried out through a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) formed by NHMNL, MPIDC, and RVNL. Construction work on the park is expected to commence in September next year.
