ISMC Semiconductors Manufacturing Facility is an upcoming electronic chip manufacturing facility in the Kochanahalli Industrial Area of Mysuru. The Karnataka State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (KSIIDC) has proposed an electronic chip manufacturing unit in Mysore, Karnataka. At present, the project is in the final stage of the proposal phase. In the latter half of 2022, construction will begin. We expect it to take three years to construct each structure, with a completion date of 2025.

ISMC Semiconductors Manufacturing Facility – Key Project Specifications

The international semiconductor consortium ISMC, led by Next Orbit Ventures and Israel’s Tower Semiconductor as joint venture partners, signed a Rs 22,900-crore agreement with the Karnataka government to set up a chip manufacturing plant in Mysuru’s Kochanahalli Industrial Area. Kochanahalli is where the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster is going to be built by the Karnataka government. It is in proximity to the Mysuru airport. The semiconductor plant will help generate 1,500 high-tech and high-quality jobs and at least 10,000 ancillary jobs. The proposed plant will contribute significantly to the district’s industrialisation.
