Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust [JNPT], a major Port of India under the Ministry of Shipping has proposed to provide infrastructure for the stakeholders to enable the function of the Port and facilitate the trade.
The Authority has decided to establish world class business facilitation centers in JNPT estate to accommodate Port Users and also provide office space for the trade and office premises.
The project would be developed on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) mode with green and smart technology building concept including facilities to optimize energy, performance, innovation in design within the Port Estate.
Spread over 5 acres the project would feature one Building in the wharf area of the Port to facilitate seamen and seafarers and accommodate JNPT offices and duty free shop etc.
Similarly, there would be one building at the existing PUB building to provide business facilitation centers and laboratories and accommodate Government offices.
