Kerala Government, on Wednesday, October 11, announced their plan to build 30 private Industrial parks by the end of this year in Thiruvananthapuram. These parks will be planned on 500 Acres of land across the state.
The government has approved the construction of 11 Industrial parks and will be sanctioning another three parks in the upcoming days, said P. Rajeeve, Minister of Law, Industries and Coir.

During the Trivandrum Management Association (TMA) Leadership Award 2023 Ceremony, Rajeeve also encouraged colleges to set up campus industrial parks within a minimum of 5 Acres of land. More than 30 engineering colleges and three universities have shown interest in this proposal.
Additionally, to boost the ecosystem and set up industrial infrastructure in the state, the government has revised the Private Industrial Estate (PIE) scheme. The aim is to uplift individual developers to build industrial parks.
