L&T Realty is coming up with a data centre project, tentatively titled L&T Data Centres at Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu.

Larsen & Toubro Realty (L&T Realty) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Tamil Nadu to establish a data centre at Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. L&T will establish a 90 MW capacity data centre and associated units in a phased manner in Kanchipuram over the next five years. This data centre project will occupy a land parcel of 10.27 acres and have a construction area of 8,79,206 sq. ft. The project’s total cost is INR 241 crores.
The data centre complex comprises 2 buildings. Building 1 will have a ground floor, a mezzanine and 5 upper floors. Building 2 will also have a ground floor, a mezzanine and 5 upper floors. The DG Stack building for both buildings 1 and 2 comprises a basement, a ground floor and one upper floor. Construction work will begin in 2022 and finish in 2026. As of August 2022, the developers completed the foundation stone laying ceremony at the site.
