The Ministry of Defence granted the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) around 21.81 Hectares of land in the cantonment area for the construction of a dam and a four-lane road under the Green Corridor Project. The estimated cost of the project is 7,000 INR-Crore.
The Green Corridor Project involves constructing a 5.8 Km long flood embankment (dam) along the right bank of Gomti. Of this, 2.8 Km will be located within the cantonment area. Furthermore, the new four-lane road and dam will alleviate traffic congestion while offering a permanent solution to waterlogging issues.

The Green Corridor Project will link IIM Road to Shaheed Path. The first phase, connecting IIM to Pakka Pul, is completed. The second phase will extend from Daliganj to Samta Mulak, followed by the third phase, which will connect Pipra Ghat to Shaheed Path.
