Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and NCC Ltd are vying for the Hyderabad Airport Metro Rail project, with bids submitted for the Rs 5,688 crore tender. The project, funded by the Telangana government, involves constructing the Raidurg-Airport stretch.
A pre-bid meeting was held, attracting representatives from various firms. However, only L&T and NCC participated in the bidding process. L&T, known for its expertise in Metro rail development, expressed interest and has been asked by the state government to handle additional Metro connectivity.
L&T and NCC submitted the necessary documents, including project experience and financial statements. They also provided a security deposit of 29 INR-crore each through bank guarantees.
Experts and HAML technical officers will review the bid documents. The evaluation process will take around 10 days, following which recommendations will be made to the government.
