The Buildings & Factories vertical of L&T (Larsen and Toubro) Constructions, on Friday, May 17, announced winning a “significant” order in Kolkata. The company classifies ‘significant’ orders with costs ranging between INR 1,000-2,500 Crore.
L&T’s health business unit has received this order from the Institute of Neurosciences, Kolkata, for the development of a medical college and hospital campus in Rajarhat. The upcoming campus will have a built-up area of approximately 1.21 Mn-SqFt. It will comprise a 605-bed hospital and a hostel for students, nurses, residents, and interns. Additionally, the facility will feature a medical college with an annual intake capacity of 150 students.

The project will be developed over two phases with an estimated completion period of 60 months. The scope of work involves all civil works, MEP, finishing, paramedical and external development (including landscaping) works.
