Madhya Pradesh receives investment proposals of over 3 Lakh INR-Crore

The Madhya Pradesh Government secured investment proposals exceeding 3 Lakh INR-Crore during the State’s Global Investors Summit (GIS). Officials signed MoUs across key sectors, including renewable energy, trade, innovation, and skill development.

Among the major investment proposals, the Adani Group committed around 1.1 Lakh INR-Crore to pumped storage, cement, mining, smart meters, and thermal energy. These projects would generate 1.2 lakh jobs by 2030. Additionally, there are ongoing discussions with the government for another 1 Lakh INR-Crore to develop a greenfield smart city, a large airport, and a coal gasification facility.

NTPC Green Energy Ltd partnered with the Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Ltd to establish renewable power projects worth an estimated 1.2 Lakh INR-Crore. Furthermore, NTPC and the state government signed another MoU to build non-fossil fuel power plants, requiring an additional 80,000 INR-Crore investment.

Reliance Industries will also invest an estimated 60,000 INR-Crore dedicated to biofuel-based projects. Meanwhile, Avaada Group confirmed around 50,000 INR-Crore investment in renewable energy initiatives over the next five years.

Lastly, Hindalco Industries, part of the Aditya Birla Group, pledged 15,000 INR-Crore over the next two years.
