Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel performed the Bhumipujan for the Mahatma Gandhi University of Horticulture and Forestry in Durg district. The inauguration took place on the occasion of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s death anniversary.
The state government is committed to supporting farmers through various NYAY schemes. The developmental works worth 443 INR-crores were unveiled, including the inauguration of 17 completed projects and the foundation laying ceremony for 71 upcoming initiatives.
The Chief Minister also emphasized the state government’s initiatives towards sustainable agriculture, such as direct paddy purchase and fair prices for forest produce collectors.
