Military Engineer Services (MES) has got approvals for the construction of MES Thal Sena Bhawan in Delhi Cantonment area. The site is located opposite the Manekshaw centre. The proposed project will incorporate the construction of a new Army Headquarters ‘Thal Sena Bhawan’ at Delhi Cantonment. The building will have 6,014 offices and a residential complex with basic amenities.
Project Specifications:
The Sena Bhawan will be built over an area of 39 acres. It is expected that the built-up area will tantamount to 8,072,932 sq. ft. of construction. This public project will have healthcare, residential, and commercial facilities clubbed together for the militant residents. The layout incorporates different building blocks namely a multi storey office complex facility zone, a medical facility with food court, creche, CSD, gym, bank UG Ops Room with EMP protection, and a multi storey single men living quarters. These is also a provision for a basement engineering services zone which will house AC Plant Room, VCV Room, and MEP facilities.
