Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav performed the bhoomi pujan for the state’s first Medicity in Ujjain on Thursday, November 21. Spanning an anticipated 14.97 Acres, this project will cost an estimated 592.30 INR-Crore. During the event, CM Yadav also laid the foundation stone for the state’s 17th medical college in the temple town of Ujjain.
Highlighting the project’s importance, CM Yadav emphasized that the Ujjain Medicity will transform the city into a high-tech medical hub for central India. This ambitious initiative aims for completion before the 2028 Simhastha Kumbh, an event expected to draw nearly 15 crore visitors.

Additionally, a medical device park is being developed in Vikram Udyogpuri, utilizing around 950 Acres of land, with plans to acquire 950 more. Furthermore, the Ujjain Medicity project represents a monumental step in strengthening healthcare and economic development in the region.
