The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has made the decision to establish a recreation center and sports complex on the banks of the Mithi River at the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). The MMRDA has invited tenders of interest for the construction of a recreation center and sports complex on a ‘block-use-transfer’ basis. Additionally, the project will include the construction of two helipads, intended to be used as an air ambulance base.
R G 23 A and R G 23 B, located in BKC G Block and in close proximity to the Mithi River, encompass an area of 8.73 hectares and 2.47 hectares, respectively. Combining these areas results in a total space of 10.84 hectares, which has been designated for the recreation center. The MMRDA has chosen this site to develop the recreation center and sports complex.
Upon completion of the tender process, the selected company will be granted access to the land for the entertainment center and sports complex for a period of 30 years. Interested parties have until June 17th to submit their tenders.
