Nagole to have another station for Airport Metro

Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) is expanding its network by adding a new station near Nagole for better airport connectivity. The upcoming station will connect HMR to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad as well as the outer ring road.

The decision to build this additional station was made following a detailed inspection of the proposed route for the airport metro link. The alignment will be shifted 10 meters to the left along the Musi River to avoid relocating large water main pipelines and high-tension power lines. Additionally, longer spans will be used to cross the Musi to facilitate the proposed river rejuvenation work.

Furthermore, another metro station will come up on the right side of Kamineni Hospital station. The expansion plan includes 13 new stations along a 14 Km stretch from Nagole. These include Mythri Nagar, Karmanghat, Champapet Road Junction, Owaisi Hospital, DRDO, Hafeez Baba Nagar, etc. The stations will be close to the junction points, whereas they are poised to enhance connectivity and convenience for commuters.
