Nagpur: MoUs worth 6,100 INR-Crore signed for hotels & industrial projects

Nagpur witnessed a surge in economic activity as companies signed MoUs worth an estimated 6,100 INR-Crore for hospitality and industrial projects. Over 150 firms participated, proposing a variety of small and large-scale developments to boost the region’s economy.

Three luxury hotel brands—Taj Gateway, Hilton, and Hyatt—are set to transform the hospitality landscape of Nagpur with a combined MoUs investment of 875 INR-Crore. The Taj project will receive 400 INR-Crore, whereas Hyatt will get 300 INR-Crore. Meanwhile the Hilton hospitality project will be developed with 175 INR-Crore investment.

These developments will elevate tourism, attract premium travelers, and enhance Nagpur’s appeal as a hospitality hub. Meanwhile, proposals for four additional hotels have been submitted, signaling further growth.

Industrial projects are also gaining momentum. Xolopak India Ltd is investing in a packaging unit using sustainable materials in Gondia, with another unit planned for Nagpur. Meanwhile, Inventys Research plans to establish a facility producing import substitutes for pharmaceutical inputs. These ventures will strengthen supply chains and boost economic self-sufficiency.

The state government has ensured single-window support, enabling swift approvals and seamless execution. Several projects have already progressed, with land acquisition completed in multiple cases. Construction has begun on one site, while two others are preparing for development. This wave of Nagpur MoUs is set to generate thousands of jobs, stimulate local industries, and solidify Nagpur’s position as a key investment destination.
