Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) Indore is considering the development of a new industrial belt in Shajapur, encompassing 100 hectares of land, to accommodate small and medium-scale industrialists.
The proposed land in Shajapur has the advantage of two significant water sources nearby – the chiller dam situated at river Lakhundar and the Amrut Yojana based on river Narmada. Additionally, a 220 kv substation is conveniently located just 200 meters away.
The department is expanding industrial belts and developing new ones amid a jump in demand for industrial plots from industries in the Indore region.
To facilitate expansion, MPIDC has obtained additional land from the district administration for Maksi and Jaggakhedi industrial areas. Phase 2 of Maksi is slated to occupy 55 hectares, while the expansion of the Jaggakhedi industrial area in the Mandsaur district is planned for 70 hectares. Furthermore, MPIDC aims to enhance the infrastructure of certain existing old industrial lands in Indore.
