NHAI-owned company National Highways Logistics Management Ltd (NHLML) has entered into an agreement to develop a Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in the rural district of Muddelinganahalli in Bengaluru.

This project will be implemented under the Public Private Partnership (DBFOT) model and is estimated to cost INR 1,770 Crore. Spanning across 400 acres of land, it is set to become the first and largest MMLP in the country under the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan.

To facilitate seamless logistics movement, the site strategically borders the upcoming KIADB (Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board) industrial area to the east, is adjacent to NH 648, Dabaspet to Hosur, and is also connected to the Satellite Town Ring Road to the north, along with the Bengaluru – Hubballi – Mumbai rail line to the south.

The development of MMLP will occur in three phases, with the first phase expected to be completed within two years. By the end of the 45-year concession period, the MMLP is anticipated to serve 30 million metric tonnes (MMT) of cargo, significantly enhancing the industrial areas in the surrounding region including Bengaluru and Tumkur.

A Government Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) has been established, involving National Highways Logistics Management Ltd. (NHLML), Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), and Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB).
