The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is making steady progress in preparing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for three new road links in Delhi. The estimated cost for this project is 91,000 INR-Crore. However, the final amount will be determined once DPRs are completed. Authorities aim to finish these reports within six to seven months, ensuring that construction can commence soon.
The first project includes a 20 Km link road connecting Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) with the Delhi-Katra Expressway through the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway. This new corridor will create a seamless passage for vehicles from Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab, offering direct access to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport. The estimated cost for this link is 2,500 INR-Crore.

The second major proposal focuses on a 17 Km connection between UER-II near Alipur and Tronica City. This stretch will pass close to the under-construction Delhi-Dehradun Expressway. Once completed, this road will simplify movement for vehicles from Rajasthan and Haryana heading towards Dehradun. Additionally, this link will ease the heavy traffic burden on Delhi’s existing Ring Road.
The third project involves constructing a 35 Km corridor serving as a bypass for East Delhi. This route will directly connect the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway with Noida, ensuring smooth travel for commuters from northern, northwestern, and southwestern Delhi. Once completed, these road links in Delhi will offer a faster, congestion-free route for travelers heading to Noida.
