The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will develop the 121 Km long Guwahati Ring Road at a total estimated cost of 5,729 INR-Crore. The project will follow the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model with zero grant. The concession period will last around 30 years, including a 4-year construction phase.
The Guwahati Ring Road will feature three major sections. Authorities will build a 56 Km long, 4-lane access-controlled Northern Guwahati Bypass. Additionally, they will widen the existing 8 Km bypass on NH-27 from four lanes to six lanes. The project also includes improving a 58 Km long bypass on NH-27. A key highlight will be a 3 Km-long major bridge over the Brahmaputra River, enhancing regional connectivity.
