Nitin Gadkari inaugurated 7 NH projects worth Rs. 1,128 Cr in Gwalior

Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, laid foundation on seven National Highway (NH) projects in Gwalior with a total length of 222 kilometres and cost INR 1,128 crore.

“These initiatives will speed up the path toward fuel conservation. It will provide better connectivity to transport tribal art, spices, chanderi silk, and electrical transformers around the nation. The state will prosper as a result of increased employment opportunities. Tourism will be encouraged in the Chambal region.” the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said in a statement. 

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Madhya Pradesh chief minister, Narendra Singh Tomar, Jyotiraditya Scindia, the state’s ministers, and all MPs and MLAs were present for the inauguration.

According to the statement given by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways,

These bypass roads would be built in Mihona, Lahar, Daboh, and Bhander to facilitate low traffic. Well-known tourist destinations including Sanchi Stupa, Chanderi, and Shivpuri will now become easily accessible. Additionally, interstate travel would become easy between the districts of Jhansi, Gwalior, and Bhopal. Travelling from one end of the city to the other would become easier after the construction of this four-lane bridge in Gwalior connecting the Maharani Laxmibai statue to IIITM on the Swarnrekha River.
