The Odisha Cabinet approved an estimated 108 INR-Crore for the Anandapur Barrage Project in Keonjhar district.
The Anandapur Barrage Project under the Water Resources Department will provide irrigation across 60,000 hectares in both Keonjhar and Balasore districts. The project’s estimated deadline is 18 months.

Additionally, the current phase targets irrigation for 2,221 hectares through the Baitarani Left Bank Canal (BLBC) and Baitarani Right Bank Canal (BRBC) systems. Furthermore, an underground pipeline network will help irrigate 3,450 hectares of culturable command area in Keonjhar.
