Odisha has secured an impressive 4,349 INR-Crore in investment intents within the healthcare sector during the two-day Utkarsh Odisha: Make-in-Odisha Conclave 2025. A total of nine prominent pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies are eager to set up hospitals, pharmaceutical, and biotech manufacturing units in the state.
Notably, Indo European Heart Hospital and Research Institute Pvt Ltd plans a 1,200 INR-Crore investment, while Indo European Research and Healthcare Pvt Ltd has proposed a 600 INR-Crore project. Among other significant proposals, SUM Health Care Services intends to establish a 50-bed multi-specialty hospital in each district, with an estimated investment of 1,000 INR-Crore.

Vikash Residential Institutions Pvt Ltd has will invest around 544 INR-Crore, and J-VPD Diagnostics Pvt Ltd plans a facility at an estimated 500 INR-Crore. Additionally, Gloport Photonix Innovations Pvt Ltd and Emsurg Group of Companies aim to invest around 200 INR-Crore each, while Onlyhealth Pvt Ltd and Monad Life Solutions Pvt Ltd will contribute around 100 INR-Crore and 5 INR-Crore, respectively.
Furthermore, SUM Group’s multi-specialty hospitals aim to provide affordable and top-notch Healthcare services in Odisha, covering primary, secondary, trauma, emergency, and geriatric care. These projects will create 900 direct jobs and nearly 6,000 indirect opportunities. Plans are already in motion to recruit 5,000 doctors and 1,200 nurses, further enhancing the healthcare workforce in Odisha.
