The Odisha government has given the green light to nine industrial projects with a total investment of INR 1,01,804 Crore. These projects are expected to generate employment opportunities for more than 28,000 individuals and will be established in various districts, including Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Khurda, Paradeep, Bhadrak, Ganjam, and Koraput.
The High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA) under the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved these investments in a meeting held on Monday, September 11.

The government has given the approval for several projects in the steel sector. JSW Utkal Sheet Limited’s proposal to increase the capacity of its integrated steel plant in Jagatsinghpur district from 12 MTPA to 24 MTPA with an investment of INR 75,000 Crore has been approved. Jindal Ferrous Limited has also received approval to establish a 2.35 MTPA carbon steel plant in the Jaipur district with an investment of INR 3,449 Crore. Additionally, the state government has given the green light to MSP Metallics Ltd to expand its unit in Jharsuguda with a proposed investment of INR 1,500 Crore.
In the green energy equipment and Electronics System Design and manufacturing (ESDM) sector, Avaada Electro Pvt Ltd’s proposal to set up a manufacturing facility for ingots, wafers, solar cells, and modules in Haldiapada in Khordha district, with an investment of INR 11,300 Crore, has also received approval from the HLCA.

The state government has given its approval to several other investment proposals:
1. L&T Energy Green Tech Ltd has been granted approval for its INR 1,030 Crore investment proposal to establish a green ammonia plant in Paradeep, Jagatsinghpur district.
2. Berger Paints India Ltd has received the green light to set up a manufacturing unit valued at INR 1,458 Crore in Khordha.
3. Indian Oil Corporation Ltd will establish a polyester products manufacturing unit in the Textile Park at Bhandaripokhari, Bhadrak district, with an investment of INR 4,377 Crore.
4. Petronet LNG Ltd will construct an LNG terminal with a capacity of 40 lakh MT in Gopalpur, Ganjam district, with an investment commitment of INR 2,306 Crore.
Additionally, the expansion proposal by Toshali Cement Pvt. Ltd to increase clinker capacity to 1.75 MTPA and cement grinding capacity to 1.40 MTPA at its plant in Ampavalli, Koraput district, has also been approved by the Odisha government. The company will invest INR 1,383 Crore in this project.
