Oriana Power bags contract for 128 MW solar power plant from Dalmia Cement

Oriana Power Ltd has secured a significant contract from Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd (DCBL) to build and operate a ground-mounted solar power plant in Tamil Nadu. Oriana secured this contract through its subsidiary TrueRE Surya Pvt Ltd. The estimated cost of this project is 520 INR-Crore.

The upcoming solar plant has a capacity of up to 128 MW and falls under the Open Access Captive solar power segment. Upon completion, the plant will generate approximately 1,920 lakh electricity units annually. The solar plant is poised to commence operations within 12 months, enhancing Dalmia Bharat’s renewable energy capacity. This development will greatly support Dalmia Bharat Group’s RE100 commitment by 2030 and its ambitious carbon-negative target by 2040.

Additionally, Oriana Power has announced an exciting strategic partnership with Splitwaters, a US-based green hydrogen electrolyzer manufacturer. The company plans to establish a Giga factory to produce electrolyzers and Balance of Plant (BOP) modules. This factory will initially feature a 500 MW capacity, with an additional 500 MW planned for 2027.
