Building Construction Projects Insights – November 2024
The 709 new building projects incorporated in November 2024 cover a combined 212.37 Million-SqFt, with a total construction cost of 78,424 INR-Crore. Of these, 299 projects are under construction, while 410 are in the early stages. The breakdown includes 474 private projects and 235 public projects.
Among the significant construction projects in November 2024 is CPWD‘s Central Secretariat Building in New Delhi. This project covers an impressive 21,69,845 SqFt of construction area with an estimated construction cost of 2,194 INR-Crore. As of November 2024, the authorities have floated a tender for the selection of a civil work contractor.
Another notable construction project in November includes the development of Iconica City of Gold, in Visakhapatnam. This mixed-use development has an estimated construction cost of 576 INR-Crore sprawling a massive 97 Acres of land. Being developed by Gardencity Realty Pvt Ltd, is is currently in the pre-construction stage.
In November 2024, 368 new tenders were floated with a total tender value of over 32,451.19 INR-Crore. Notable tender issuers include the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Military Engineer Services (MES), the Government of Odisha Works Department, and NBCC (India) Ltd.
Industrial and Infrastructure Projects Insights
In November 2024, Biltrax’s BX-2 platform also documented 366 industrial projects worth 113,301 INR-Crore & 162 infrastructure projects worth 27,193 INR-Crore.
The 366 industrial projects span a total area of 58.44 Million-SqFt. Telangana and Maharashtra lead with 48 projects, followed by Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu.
Additionally, Biltrax tracked 118 water infrastructure projects in November, worth 8,046 INR-Crore. Rajasthan attracted the highest number of water projects with 31, followed by Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, and Assam.
November 2024 also saw major transport infrastructure projects. One such notable project is the NHAI 6-lane Capital Region Ring Road. This project involves development of a new 6-lane Access Controlled Region Ring Road in Odisha (in 3 packages). NH(O) will develop the project under the Hybrid Annuity Model (Package 1) at an estimated construction cost of 4,302 INR-Crore.
Lastly, a major industrial project in November 2024 includes the JSW Steel Manufacturing Unit, in Khurda, Odisha. Developed by JSW Steel Ltd, this project has an estimated investment cost of 65,000 INR-Crore. The construction cost is projected at 35,000 INR-Crore with a construction area of approximately 250,000 SqFt.
