Building Construction Projects Insights
The 835 new building projects incorporated in June cover a total area of 241.39 Million-SqFt, with a total construction cost of INR 85,674 Crore. Of these, 350 projects are under construction, while 485 are in the early stages. The breakdown includes 566 private projects and 269 public projects.
Among the significant construction projects in June is StarLife by JP Infra, a residential project in Mira-Bhayandar, Maharashtra. This project covers an impressive 3.25 Acres of land parcel with an estimated construction cost of INR 1,073 Crore. The project entails developing 2 residential towers along with a commercial mall towering 4 storeys.
Another notable construction project in June includes the development of commercial real estate development in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. This mixed-use project, named Migsun Nehru Place 1, has a construction cost of INR 751 Crore and a construction area of over 1,854,424 SqFt. In June, 403 new tenders were floated with a total tender value of over INR 13,084.9 Crore. Notable tender issuers include the Gujarat Housing Board, the Karnataka Housing Board (KHB), the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), and the Military Engineer Services (MES).
Industrial and Infrastructure Projects Insights
In June 2024, 288 industrial projects worth INR 38,807 Crore and 156 infrastructural projects worth INR 15,200 Crore were documented.
The 288 industrial projects span a total area of 38.81 Million-SqFt, with a total construction cost of INR 38,807 Crore. Maharashtra leads with 56 projects, followed by Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Gujarat.
For water infrastructure projects in June, 135 projects worth INR 9,618 Crore were tracked. Karnataka attracted the highest number of water projects with 29, followed by Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
June also saw major transport infrastructure projects. One notable construction project in June is NHAI 4-Laning of Patna-Arrah-Sasaram corridor Section of NH 119A (Package 2). This project involves the design and construction of an elevated freeway extension from Chheda Nagar, Ghatkopar to Thane. The project’s total construction cost is INR 1,298 Crore.
A major industrial project in June includes the CG Semi Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly & Test Unit in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd is developing this project at an estimated cost of INR 7,600 Crore. The project work will commence after around 3-4 months.
