In July 2024, Biltrax Construction Data documented over 1,419 new construction projects. These include 825 building projects and 594 industrial and infrastructure projects.
Building Construction Projects Insights
The 825 new building projects incorporated in July cover a total area of 225.05 Million-SqFt, with a total construction cost of INR 102,274 Crore. Of these, 332 projects are under construction, while 493 are in the early stages. The breakdown includes 536 private projects and 289 public projects.
Among the significant construction projects in July is Ananda Residential by Ananda Homes Pvt Ltd, a residential project in Rangareddy, Telangana. This project covers an impressive 18.09 Acres of land parcel with an estimated construction cost of INR 1,952 Crore. The project entails developing 11 residential towers along with 3 amenity blocks.
Another notable construction project in July includes a mixed-use development named ‘The Omaxe State’, in Dwarka. Developed by Omaxe Ltd, this project has a construction cost of INR 1,500Crore and a construction area of over 2,000,000 SqFt. The mixed used development is a 5-in-1 destination with a 30,000-seat stadium, 640-shop mall, 5-7 star hotel, and 40 Taj-managed restaurants. It also includes an Olympic-sized pool and 75,000 sqft of E-Sports.
In July, 447 new tenders were floated with a total tender value of over INR 15,006 Crore. Notable tender issuers include the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), the Public Works Department, Maharashtra (PWD), the Bihar Police Building Construction Corporation (BPBCC), and the Public Works (Building & NH) Department (PWD) Assam.
Industrial and Infrastructure Projects Insights
In July 2024, 398 industrial projects worth INR 65,567 Crore and 196 infrastructural projects worth INR 49,658 Crore were documented.
The 398 industrial projects span a total area of 48.82 Million-SqFt, with a total construction cost of INR 65,567 Crore. Maharashtra leads with 71 projects, followed by Karnataka, Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana, and Haryana.
For water infrastructure projects in July, 142 projects worth INR 13,483 Crore were tracked. Madhya Pradesh attracted the highest number of water projects with 33, followed by Maharashtra, Gujarat, West Bengal, and Karnataka.
July also saw major transport infrastructure projects. One notable construction project in July is NHAI 6-Laning at Pagote of Section NH 348. This project entails the Construction of a six-lane greenfield highway starting from its junction with NH-4B (New NH-348) near Pagote till its junction on NH-48 at Chowk in Maharashtra. The project’s total construction cost is INR 3,653 Crore.
A major industrial project in July includes the ACME Group’s Greentech Integrated Solar Power Panels Manufacturing Unit in Khordha, Orissa. Developed by the company’s subsidiary, Acme Greentech Urja Private Limited, this project has an estimated investment cost of INR 7,600 Crore. Commencing in a phased manner, the manufacturing facility is currently in the advanced planning stage.
