In a significant development for healthcare services, the PGI has received approval from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to establish a new campus in Sarangpur. This project aims to enhance healthcare facilities and cater to the growing needs of the region.
The new PGI campus will feature a 100-seat MBBS college, a 500-bed trauma center, and an advanced cancer center with capacity for 500 patients. Additionally, a multi-level parking facility for up to 3,000 cars will be constructed.

The PGI Sarangpur campus will also include a screening OPD/emergency for 16,000 patients, a mortuary, a Sarai complex, and a super-speciality block. Additionally, it will feature a museum, a convention centre, and residential facilities for doctors.
The approval aligns with the government’s recent budgetary emphasis on expanding medical services and cancer care in the country. PGI will prepare a master plan based on the new proposal and seek approval from local authorities.
