Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, October 29, virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation for several key health projects in Madhya Pradesh.
He launched three new medical colleges in Mandsaur, Neemuch, and Seoni. He also laid the foundation stones for nursing colleges in Mandsaur, Shivpuri, Rajgarh, Ratlam, and Khandwa. The combined cost of these medical colleges and nursing institutions is estimated at 961 INR-Crore. Additionally, in a significant step forward, an advanced drone service was introduced to efficiently deliver essential medical supplies across the region.

PM Modi also inaugurated the AIIMS Bhopal administrative block, Kautilya Bhavan. This six-storey building, constructed at an estimated 64.44 INR-Crore, spans nearly 11,900 SqM. It aims to strengthen medical education, research, and clinical services. Additionally, he launched the ESIC model hospital and occupational disease center in Indore. With an estimated investment of 376 INR-Crore, this 300-bed hospital is designed to deliver top-tier medical care to laborers. It has the potential to increase its capacity to 500 beds.
With these initiatives by PM Modi, the health infrastructure of Madhya Pradesh is set to grow rapidly, paving the way for enhanced medical education and quality healthcare services. Altogether, he unveiled multiple health sector projects worth over an estimated 12,850 INR-Crore nationwide.
