PM Modi inaugurates & lays foundation stone for various projects in Maharashtra worth 11,200 INR-Crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, September 29, virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various projects in Maharashtra. These projects are worth an estimated 11,200 INR-Crore

PM Modi virtually inaugurated the following projects in Maharashtra:

Pune Metro section from District Court to Swargate- marking the completion of the Pune Metro Rail Project (Phase-1). The cost of this underground section is approximately 1,810 INR-Crore

Bidkin Industrial Area as part of the National Industrial Corridor Development Program. This expansive project spans an anticipated 7,855 Acres and is located 20 Km south of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The Bidkin Industrial Area is a key part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, with the potential to transform the Marathwada region into a thriving economic hub. The central government has approved over 6,400 INR-Crore to fund its development across three phases.

In addition, the Solapur Airport will significantly boost connectivity for tourists, business travelers, and investors. The airport’s revamped terminal building is expected to accommodate around 4.1 lakh passengers annually.

PM Modi virtually laid the foundation for the following projects in Maharashtra:

The Swargate-Katraj extension of the Pune Metro Phase-1 which is valued at around 2,955 INR-Crore. This 5.46 Km southern extension will be entirely underground, with stations at Market Yard, Padmavati, and Katraj. 

Lastly, a memorial dedicated to Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule’s first girls’ school at Bhidewada. These initiatives in Maharashtra are set to transform the region and bring long-term benefits to its people.
