On Monday, October 2, PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for a multi-modal logistic park worth INR 1,110 Crores, spanning 112 hectares in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. This park is expected to generate employment opportunities for over 15 lakh individuals, both directly and indirectly.
The park is located near the Pithampur Industrial Area, the textile and pharma cluster, close to the Indore Tihi-Dahod new rail line as well as the proposed Mhow Ring Road. It will be 30 km away from Devi Ahilyabai Holkar airport.

Rajesh Rathod, the executive director of MPIDC, stated that the state government will provide the land for the park, while the agency appointed by the Union Road and Transport Ministry will handle the infrastructure development and construction work for the project.
The multi-modal logistics park project includes the villages of Jamodi, Kheda Akolia, and Sagaur in the Pithampur industrial area. Out of the total selected land area of 112.60 hectares, 106.8 hectares will be allocated for the park, and 5.8 hectares will be utilized for the construction of railway siding.
