Polyplex has announced a major investment of around 558 INR-Crore to establish a BOPET – biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate– manufacturing plant in India. As stated in an exchange filing, the company’s board of directors approved this ambitious plan during a recent meeting.
Currently, Polyplex operates at full capacity, producing 90,000 MTPA of BOPET and BOPP films. To enhance its capabilities, the company will add 52,400 MTPA of BOPET film production. Additionally, the proposed capacity is to be added in the first half of FY 2028.
