Rajasthan to establish 4 Mega Solar Parks with allotment of 4,780 Hectares

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Sunday, June 15, approved the proposal to allocate 4,780 Hectares of land for setting up four solar projects. These projects are-

Rajasthan Solar Park Development Company will use 4,780 Hectares to establish three solar parks with a total capacity of 2,450 MW in Bikaner district. Of which two solar parks will generate 1,000 MW each, over approximately 1,881 Hectares in Surasar village, Pugal tehsil. The other solar park will generate 450 MW.

The second solar project entails constructing a 1,000 MW solar park, covering nearly 2,000 Hectares. This includes 1,194 Hectares in Surasar village and about 807 Hectares in Bhanavatawala village.

Rajasthan Akshay Urja Nigam will develop the third solar park, generating 450 MW and is allotting 900 Hectares in Sardarpura village, Bikaner. The central government’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy will develop these parks in three phases under the Solar Park Scheme.

Additionally, NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd has allocated approximately 910 Hectares for a 500 MW solar project in Phalodi district. These projects will involve an estimate investment of about INR 10,000 Crore.
