The residential staff colony of AIIMS Hospital located at Ayur Vigyan Nagar, New Delhi would be redeveloped with enhanced built-up area, better recreational facilities and amenities for the existing residents.
To carry out the redevelopment work, 620,437 sq.ft. of built up area will be demolished from the exiting colony and around 6.4 million sq.ft. of built up area will be reconstructed.
The redevelopment work of existing residential colony shall be carried out in phases. One additional tower shall be constructed first, where the rehabilitation of population of the existing colony shall be done and after that the demolition work shall be carried out of existing colony.
The land measuring 49.04 acres has been allotted to AIIMS by DDA which shall be developed by NBCC (India) Limited.
