Denmark-based Rockwool Group, one of the leading insulation producers across various segments, will be setting up its largest factory in Cheyyar, Tamil Nadu. The estimated investment of this greenfield factory is 550 INR-Crore.
Rockwool Group’s new facility will span approximately 50,000 SqM within an anticipated 56 Acres land parcel. It will be meticulously designed to cater to the surging demand for non-combustible stone wool insulation in the region. Additionally, the state-of-the-art factory will manufacture stone wool insulation that is non-combustible, recyclable, and durable. The facility will begin operations in the first half of 2026, employing around 150 individuals.

Moreover, with an annual capacity of 50,000 Tonnes, the factory by Rockwool will surpass the Gujarat unit in size. It will focus on producing cutting-edge products for specialized applications, particularly those essential for fire safety. This strategic move will bolster Rockwool’s market presence in India’s insulation sector.
