RVNL bags INR 187 Crore contract for Nagpur metro stations

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) bagged a contract from Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited for constructing six stations for the Nagpur metro project. The estimated cost of this project is INR 187.34 Crore.

The contract involves constructing six elevated metro stations: Cantonment, Kamptee Police Station, Kamptee Municipal Council, Dragon Palace, Golf Club, and Kanhan River Metro Station. Once operational, the total length of the Nagpur metro project will reach 82 Km. Notably, this ambitious rail project is expected to be completed by 2026.

Furthermore, RVNL has initiated the expansion of two corridors from Phase I of the Nagpur metro, totaling 43.8 km:

  • MIHAN – MIDC ESR (18.6 km)
  • Automotive Square – Kanhan River (13.0 km)
  • Prajapati Nagar – Kapsi (5.5 km)
  • Lokmanya Nagar – Hingna (6.7 km)

Significantly, Phase 2 of the metro project will connect Nagpur’s satellite cities, benefiting over 10 Lakh residents.
