Sikkim University has proposed the development of Sikkim University Package – II. This project will comprise the development of Sikkim University in the Gangtok region. The project will provide high-end educational and residential facilities. Amenities like the Sewage Treatment Plant will be installed on the site to take care of sustainability. This project is being developed to empower the educational sector of Gangtok, Sikkim.
Project Specifications:
This project is a public project and is currently under construction. The project will span over a land parcel of 266 acres with a construction area of 4,92,298 sq. ft and is divided into three zones, the academic zone, the hostel zone and the residential quarters. The academic zone will include 2 buildings, out of which one will comprise a ground floor and 4 upper floors, the ground floor will comprise an accommodation facility for 50 students. Another building will comprise a teaching lab on the ground floor and 4 upper floors.
The Hostel block will comprise a total of 8 buildings, out of which 3 buildings will provide hostel facilities for boys hostel with a ground floor and 3 upper floors, and 3 buildings for girls hostel with a ground floor and 3 upper floors. 2 dedicated buildings for EWS section will be provided on the site, out of which the building for boys hostel will comprise a ground floor and 3 upper floors, and the building for girls hostel will comprise only ground floor.
The Residential Quarters will comprise a total of 7 blocks, out of which 3 buildings will be of type II, 2 buildings of type III and 2 buildings of type IV. Type II will include 30 units, type III will include 20 units and type IV will include 20 units. The configuration of all the buildings will include 2 basements, a ground floor and 2 upper floors.
