SIPB clears INR 22,302 Crore investment proposals for setting up of energy units in AP

The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), on Tuesday, January 30, approved investment proposals worth an estimated INR 22,302 Crore in the energy sector. These projects were cleared during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and are anticipated to generate employment opportunities for 5300 people.

These projects include:

Setting up of four solar and two wind power projects by JSW Neo Energy Ltd worth an estimated INR 13,352 Crore having a power production capacity of 3531.60 MW.

  • 400 MW solar power unit at Chakrayapet in the YSR district.
  • Two solar power units of 1050 MW capacity each at Mudigubba in Sri Sathya Sai district and Rapthadu.
  • 850 MW solar power unit at D Hirehal in the Anantapur district.
  • The wind power projects will have a power generation capacity of 171.60MW each with an estimated investment of INR 1287 Crore. These would be developed at Kunukuntla, Owk Mandal in Nandyal district and Jaladurgam, Peapully Mandal in Kurnool district.

  • 1000 MW solar power unit worth an investment of INR 4000 Crore at Puligundlapally, Talupula Mandal in Sri Sathya Sai district.

Ecoren Energy India Pvt Ltd

  • 200 MW wind power project worth approximately INR 1350 Crore in Aspari at Karnool district.
