SJVN Ltd, a state-owned company, has secured a 100 MW State Transmission Utility (STU) connected solar power project worth INR 600 crore from Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd.
The project was awarded through an open competitive tariff bidding process followed by e-Reverse Auction (e-RA) organized by Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. The project will be implemented by SJVN Green Energy Ltd (SGEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN.
SGEL emerged as the successful bidder in the process, securing the project on a Build Own and Operate (BOO) basis at a tariff of INR 2.62 per unit. They have the flexibility to install the solar project anywhere in Rajasthan through an EPC contract.
With this new project, SJVN’s total solar power capacity in Rajasthan now reaches 1,100 MW, which includes the 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Project set to be commissioned within the current financial year.
