Steel sector leads with half of the 26,000 INR-Crore investment proposals in Jharkhand

The Jharkhand Government secured investment proposals worth an estimated 26,000 INR-Crore with half related to the steel sector. The proposals were secured during the Advantage Jharkhand program at the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS). These projects are expected to create around 15,000 jobs.

Supreme Metals Export Pvt Ltd plans to invest around 3,000 INR-Crore in setting up a steel plant, while Voltox Rail Pvt Ltd has committed an estimated 4,000 INR-Crore to special steel manufacturing. These projects will generate 3,500 jobs, further strengthening the region’s industrial workforce.

BMW Industries Ltd has proposed an estimated 1,100 INR-Crore Cold Rolling Mill Plant, which would create around 1,500 jobs. Rashmi Metaliks Ltd aims to invest 3,800 INR-Crore, unlocking opportunities for 3,000 workers. Additionally, SM Steel and Power Ltd will establish a 2,800 INR-Crore power generation project. 

With such large-scale investments, the steel sector in Jharkhand is set to thrive. These projects not only promise economic growth but also lay the foundation for a stronger, more industrially advanced future.
